A truck driver and his motor boys were temporarily trapped under a container-bearing truck in which they were travelling fell at the Toyota end of Apapa-Oshodi Expressway inward Mile 2 on Sunday.
Although men of the Nigerian police arrived early at the scene of the accident, they were unable to rescue the trapped driver and motor boys until the arrival of the men of the Lasema Response Unit.
They were first attended to at the scene by the medics before being taken to an undisclosed hospital.
One of the motor boys, who came out unhurt, said the driver lost the control of the truck while trying to avoid hitting a smaller vehicle about a hundred metres away.
Expectedly, the accident has cause traffic to build up in the axis.
Our correspondent at the scene said all vehicles coming from Anthony/Oshodi end of the expressway are now taking Airport Road creating a serious traffic jam along Airport Road.
